Dodge Teases Front End of New 2019 Charger SRT Hellcat

Let's be honest--sometimes, the iconic Dodge Charger sedan can get a little overshadowed by its slinkier brother, with whom it often has to share engines, color schemes, and general design strategies.

With the latest teaser released by the Dodge brand, the spunky duo may find themselves battling even more than usual.

We're pretty confident, however, that the new 2019 Charger will be able to stand out a little extra this coming year, after it arrives in the Duluth and Atlanta area this summer.

New SRT Grille Design

About a month ago, Dodge posted a picture of a striking front-end (or, at least, a corner of one) decorated with an SRT badge and a roaring wildcat. Dodge has said that the sporty grille--and maybe the entire front end, but that's not likely--will be wider to accommodate the mammoth personality of the Dodge Charger SRT line.

The grille also includes what we can only assume are massive new air intakes--hopefully, for massive horsepower--compared to the 2018 model. This may only be for SRT Hellcat models, but select spy shots offer speculation that the aggressive new grille could be available on the SRT 392 Scat Pack model and other SRT models, as well.

We can expect to see both interior and exterior updates for the 2019 model-year refresh, but probably not any major changes to powertrain, body, or essential engineering until the Charger gets fully redesigned for the 2021 model year.

We'll learn more about 2019 Dodge Charger updates, specs, pricing, and release date later this summer--be sure to check back with our blog to keep up with the news.
