2018 Dodge Challenger in Duluth

The New 2018 Dodge Challenger is Even More Extreme

The Dodge Challenger is one of those cars that really doesn't need an introduction--so we'll dedicate more time to telling you about its performance and features, instead. For 2018, trim levels include the (get ready for it) Challenger SXT, SXT Plus, R/T, GT AWD, R/T Plus, R/T Shaker, T/A, R/T Scat Pack, R/T Plus Shaker, T/A Plus, 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker, T/A 392, SRT 392, SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Widebody, and the (already sold-out) SRT Demon. Dodge is nothing if not thorough.

Sport-Inspired Interior

The cabin of the Challenger is all muscle--but it's not particularly spartan for it. The interior is a lot roomier than similar cabins in Dodge's competitor cars, and it can be equipped with a huge variety of package options. Want something basic and fast? Base models provide soft-touch plastics and seats that are comfortable. Want to ride like a celebrity? Higher-level trims give you Nappa leather, custom driver gauges, and branded accents everywhere.

The True Iconic Sports Car

Usually, nobody has to tell you that what you're looking at is a Challenger--because there really is nothing else that looks anything like it. Powerful haunches, like a sighthound or a price Thoroughbred, stand out aggressively in the rear, pushing forward along sharp character lines and trim-specific striping to the squared-off edges of an iconic grille. From hood scoop to sport tires, and circular headlights to dual exhaust, this car is Dodge's true spirit incarnate.

A Lot of Engine Options

Let's get right into it: there are five incredible engine options--tuned to seven different power levels--available in the new Challenger lineup, and all of them will make your heart skip a beat. Or a few beats, if you opt for the 707-horsepower 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 on the Hellcat or the 808-horsepower supercharged HEMI V8 on the Demon. The standard 3.6-liter V6 engine makes 305 horsepower and 268 pound-feet of torque; bump up to a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 for 372 - 400 horsepower and 375 - 475 pound-feet of torque; or, go up one more for a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 that's good for 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The Dodge Challenger is the only muscle car coupe that gives you available All-Wheel Drive.

Race-Ready Technology

New for 2018, the Dodge Challenger adds a standard Uconnect infotainment system with a 7.0-inch touch screen that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto--a larger display than last year's model, giving you tablet-like control over your media and music. Two audio systems by Alpine, and one from Harman/Kardon, can be equipped for luxurious listening. The Challenger also offers some Dodge-specific race tech and cool gear to make you feel like you're driving in the big time--even if you're just commuting to work.
