If you haven't heard, the iconic Jeep Wrangler has undergone a pretty incredible transformation. An evolution from classic heritage to modern marvel.

Although, you might not be able to tell at first glance–and, you might not even be able to tell by model-year, either.

Like the switch that Jeep pulled with the 2017 and all-new 2017 Jeep Compass back in the summer, we'll see a 2018 model (the Jeep Wrangler JK) and an all-new 2018 model (the Jeep Wrangler JL) for the transition.

This is huge news, because this rock-crawling SUV hasn't seen a significant redesign since about 2006.

We're pleased to see that the overall design still looks clean and classic–but we're looking forward to the upgrades.

With so many changes coming in this massive update to a beloved treasure, it's impossible not to compare the two generations.

So, we know that the newest 2018 Jeep Wrangler boasts a lot of improvements over its previous generation.
